Ben’s Cottage offers a private and romantic getaway in a beautiful setting. It sleeps two people and offers panoramic views of the Elandsberg Mountains and farmlands.
This cosy cottage offers all the luxuries from home and is located close to the main farmhouse. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, small oven, microwave, cutlery and crockery. Electricity is provided and there is 3G and cellphone reception. There is a braai area outside and the farm has dams which guests can walk to and swim in. The farm offers a variety of activities or guests can simply relax and enjoy the surrounds. Zandrivier is located about 1200 m above sea level and enjoys snowfall during most winters. Guests can explore the walking trails on the farm or tackle the farm roads and various trails on mountain bikes. Zandrivier is a working farm and we encourage children to interact with our animals. Ben's cottage is a wonderful place to start your drive to Bosluiskloof and through Seweweekspoort. The ambience is wonderful, with a well equipped kitchen, two spacious rooms and an amazing porch from where to see the sunset over the Little Karoo. The dogs + ducks + chickens all add to the flavour. Do yourself a favour and book a night or two at Ben's cottage!! |
I would whole-heartedly without any reservations recommend a stay in the cottage. The little ones found enough adventure outside to keep them busy (they even got to milk a cow). The children didn’t even notice the absence of a television. The views are spectacular, the accommodation clean and affordable – bliss. |
Just what we like - rural and a little old fashioned. We loved staying in Ben's Cottage. Comfortable and everything we needed was there. Even a huge luxurious bath. Easy booking and easy to find. Thank you very much! |
Wonderful stay! Our week at Ben's Cottage was wonderful! Quiet and peaceful, without being isolated. Ben was a gracious host that never intruded, but was helpful, informative and shared his knowledge of the area. Great place from which to explore the trendier Karoo towns and some hidden gems. I will never see the Karoo in the same light again. Would recommend Ben"s Cottage to all. (Not to forget the delicious freshly baked bread). |
