Welcome to Zandrivier, Seweweekspoort
Found in the heart of the Karoo, Zandrivier Farm is the gateway to Seweweekspoort, South Africa's loveliest natural mountain ravines, with breathtaking views between the Klein and Groot Swartberg Mountains. These mountains boast the highest mountain peak (Seweweekspoort Peak) in the Western Cape at 2325m. The Seweweekspoort is part of Cape Nature Conservation and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The ravine or kloof is a combination of some of the most beautiful vertical rock folds in the country that combine to form a narrow little pass through which a road winds. These mountains are part of the Cape Fold Belt.
Zandrivier Farm offers a place to escape busy city life, take hikes or walks, swim or cycle, or simply relax and take in the sheer beauty that surrounds you.
Just 3.5 hours from Cape Town or 2 hours from George, Zandrivier Farm offers Karoo hospitality, self-catering cottages, cycling, walking, hiking, birding, climbing, family-friendly breaks and beautiful night skies. What our guests say...
- A peaceful haven. Tracey welcomed us with a warm smile. Absolutely sublime destination, very comfortable beds, extra blankets against the cold and a surprise en-suite bathroom that had been added to the main bedroom. But the best is just the endless starry skies, total peace and quiet. And I think my kids would happily have given Honey and Disney a new home with us if we could have snuck them away! - Samantha, April 2025
